In your reading, Sophie never mentions being an orphan. When you read Cody's dog-log, however, he describes how people on the Wanderer call Sophie an orphan. Cody says that the people who Sophie calls her parents are really her adopted parents and she has only been with them for three years. Also, from Sophie's journal entries, she writes as though she knows her Bompie really well. The other passengers on the Wanderer are surprised by this because they claim Sophie has never even met Bompie!
What do you think is going on? Any predictions?

I think Sophie is a very positive thinker. She dosn't think of herself as an orphan becuase she has a family that she loves and trust. I don't think Soph is an orphan. At the beging it tells where her the sides came from. Sophie kows so much about Bompie becuase it said he lived with her for a few years. Veronica

I think Sophie is a smart thinker and has a positive attiutude.Plus Sophie doesn't think of her self as an orphan because she has a caring, loving,family that trusts and protects her.Helenia
ReplyDeleteI think Sophie is hideing something that all of the other passangers dont know.I can tell because she never really talks to anyone.I think that Sophie is going to start standing up for herself.I think that she should realize that just because she is an orphan doesnt mean she should be grumpy.Caitlyn
ReplyDeleteI think being an orphan to Sophie is not that important. But Cody thinks it's rude to say that.In the story it also says that Sohpie lived with bompie for a few years. So I think that's why Sophie knows bompie.
