Sophie has nightmares about water, although she says she loves the water. Sophie also tells stories about Bompie that relate to water. What do you think about this? Why is Sophie so fixated on water?
I think Sohpie talks about water so much about water because of where she's in. If she was in the City, she would talk about the city. It wouldn't be a great, suspensful story if all she talked about was her pet dog. I think all the talk about water and the sea is what makes the story good. Katie
I think she talks about the water a lot because she may have had a special expereince that included the water. The story is mainly about travling on a ship in the water.Caitlyn
I think it's sort of weird that Sophie has bad dreams about the sea when the sea is alawys "gracefully rolling and gently calling to her." I think Sophie once had a "horrible" time with water. She probally got really scared, she still likes water but dosen't like it at the same time. plus, whenever she tells a story about Bompie it involes a bad problem with water.
I think Sophie loves the water. Sophie though knows the ocean is full of surprises, she knows that at any place and any time a wave could cave in on the steeling their lives. I think that Sophie is afraid of the water write now beccuase its not the calm peaceful water she once knew. Now its as if its dark and evil whitch aren't the bestwords to hear when your sailing,to me they mean storm! Veronica Norwood
